Susan Whicker, Medical Aesthetician

Background & Experience

Susan Whicker’s interest in aesthetics began at an early age with both her mother and sister involved in the spa industry.  Her first job was with a prominent, local day spa.  Starting out as a receptionist, her career in holistic body and facial treatments grew as she expanded her knowledge in the field and was promoted to spa manager.  Susan’s interest in the medical industry was also expressed with a job opportunity in a clinical setting during her college years.  As a result, she has continued to merge her vision of providing spa services while working in a medical atmosphere.

Susan graduated from the nationally acclaimed Von Lee International School for Aesthetics with a focus on medical aesthetics.  She pursued a clinical track with a special concentration in the area of product ingredients.   Susan has continued her extensive training in skin care management attending cutting edge seminars, conventions and workshops on both a local and national level.

Treatment Philosophy

Susan joined Medical Skin Therapeutics in May of 2008.  She has a holistic, specialized approach to each client.  She believes very strongly in educating each individual about their health and wellness and how it directly affects their skin.  Her facial treatments include medical facials and peels for the treatment of acne, rosacea, various pigmentation conditions and facial rejuvenation.  In addition, she employs various light therapies treatment including the Blu-U and Gentle Waves for ongoing skin care maintenance.  She is also trained in the use of MicroCurrent Therapy for skin rejuvenation and is skilled in lash/brow tinting and facial/body waxing.
